Coimbra Climate

Coimbra has a mild climate. The average temperature of the year is around 15ºC. The coolest months are November, December, January and February, with the lowest average temperature being in January (5ºC).

If you would rather visit Coimbra during dry weather, the best bet is in July. June, August and September are also the perfect time for a warm weather holiday, making it ideal to head down to the Figueira da Foz beach and enjoy the warm evenings in the city.

For fewer tourists and a cosier holiday, the best time to visit Coimbra is from October through to May. December holds the probability of slightly more rain, so don’t forget your raincoat!
