It is always a good time to visit Granada because the climate is so adaptable to what you feel more comfortable with. In winter, the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada provide the perfect backdrop for the majestic Alhambra lying at its feet while average highs of 13ºC and lows of 2ºC, accompanied by lots of sunshine, are perfect for sightseeing. Spring temperatures average highs of 21ºC and lows of 8ºC and see the blossoming of the trees on the slopes of the Sierra while mild autumn temperatures, averaging highs of 22ºC and lows of 10ºC, are still very pleasant for sitting outside and enjoying the ‘tapas’ at any one of Granada’s many bars. Summer temperatures rise considerably, with average highs of 31ºC and lows of 16ºC, providing lovely balmy nights for all the partying and festivities that Granada’s many summer festivals bring.
