Ibiza Weather |
The sun shines on the idyllic isle of Ibiza for more than 300 days a year, with a glorious Mediterranean climate characterised by balmy summers and mild winters. Maximum temperatures are not excessive, even in high summer, due to the cooling influence of the sea. May and October are beautiful months to visit, when the sea is still wonderfully warm and temperatures are breezy and mild. The Medieval Fair is held in May, with lively processions through the old quarter of the capital. Flowering bougainvillea, oleander and hibiscus add colour to the landscape during the summer season. Temperatures can be extremely hot during August, when competition for space on the beach is fierce. Water temperatures during summer are ideal for all kinds of water sports, including kite surfing, waterskiing and sailing. Travelling to Ibiza in the off-season is perfect if you enjoy deserted beaches, quiet cafes and quaint fishing villages. The intimate party scene and fireside yoga sessions are a lifetime away from the bump and grind of party crowds. Whenever you choose to visit, the island’s climate and charm will truly captivate.
