The best time to go to Tenerife |
Due to its climate, offering some of the most consistently agreeable temperatures in the world, you could decide the time of your holiday by sticking a pin in the calendar and still be assured of fine weather during your stay on Tenerife. During the summer, unlike some other destinations, Tenerife doesn’t metamorphose into a furnace and does not turn into a freezer during winter months. The all-round appeal means resorts retain more buzz throughout the year than other European holiday spots. An off-season doesn’t exist. Although, as with other holiday destinations, there are well defined high and low seasons. Undoubtedly a high season takes place during December to February. This is when the hordes from colder climes such as Britain, Germany and Scandinavia visit to ensure that they enjoy a warmer winter than the one on offer at home. Visitors from the Iberian Peninsula tend to prefer May to October. Where life in inland cities such as Madrid and Seville resembles a hairdryer blowing in your face 24 hours a day, Tenerife provides a welcoming sea breeze to ensure you keep cool during summer. Easter is another popular time to travel to Tenerife, with airfares rising accordingly. If you're looking for cheap flights, you should consider booking air travel between November and the middle of December. Cheap airfares can also be found between March and May. Except for Easter, of course. For more information on the climate, please visit the Tenerife Weather page. |
