Lisbon Coast

Following the riverside from Lisbon and then the Atlantic Ocean shoreline allows one to see a beautiful and important part of Lisbon. This area is called the “Line”, and has traditionally been where the wealthy could enjoy a more “outdoors” lifestyle than is possible in Lisbon. The area no longer has such a low construction density, but this has not diminished the splendour of living along here, with all manner of attractions, such as many excellent golf courses and beautiful beaches.

The coastal towns, and especially Estoril, can be very chic, having acted as the home of many exiled royal families since the Second World War. Towards the south, on the other side of the Tagus, the beaches seem to stretch on endlessly, only interrupted by the breathtaking Arrábida Mountains.
